Heliocentrically, come 11 December, Saturn stands conjunct Neptune in Aries. From the Earth’s point of view, this alignment does not occur until 20 February of next year. Also as the Sun sees things, on 14 December Saturn in Aries sextiles Sedna in Gemini. This geocentric transit also holds off until 20 February. This means on 20 February Saturn conjoins Neptune in the real world horoscope and both sextile Sedna. That’s very cool.
As the Sun sees it, Neptune in Aries sextiles Sedna in Gemini as a send-off to 2025 on 31 December.
So, during December three heliocentric aspects appear that will not occur until February in terms of how geocentric astrologers perceive the alignments. This gives more or less two months to perceive the subtler heliocentric aspects and prepare for the realities they forecast. These helio patterns set up the energy the planets fulfill in but weeks. This suggests that integrating these useful realizations, one manages to inch into the real world aspects increasingly receptive to life changing manifestations predicted to lie immediately around the bend. And what great import these solar viewed aspects have - especially Saturn to Sedna.
When Saturn and Sedna align in any aspect, the realization of who is actually responsible for the decisions made in your life is on the table in the hugest way. That would be you in charge of the decision locker. There can be no successful transference of blame during this aspect. You chose as you did and now the cows have come home to roost and the chickens have ambled home and now eat the cow's cabbage. The mixed metaphor is probably how both these aspects feel. Expect that in December through the aspects your heliocentric chart has in play to heliocentric Saturn and Sedna, someone challenges your sensibilities with a report that you made that bed, you gotta sleep in it. How unsympathetic! How rude for them to point that your life is the result of your actions!
It may be that when you were confronted with life options and opportunities something appeared that seemed to be the answer to your affirmations and prayers. Perhaps this perception justified a forward leap without ones usual process of discernment. So be it. And so be it if the conditions resulting from this decision are less than ideal. As Sedna wades through the early degrees of duplicitous Gemini, somehow she knows that a change (as she winks at Uranus nearby) could rectify the current dilemmas and set things right again. The cool thing is that heliocentric aspects do not bear out in the physical as do geocentric aspects when it comes to actual life occurrences. Now is the psychic prep work. It is a bit of “what-if” thinking, but more it comes in a series of psychic flashes that provide the jolt required to react accordingly when presented with such physical circumstances that may very well be the answers to your secret hopes and visions.
During December you get a preview of coming attractions so you have a clearer sense of what the feature (future) will be when you enter the theater of life. Then, when the actual manifested aspect conditions appear, the psyche is perfectly primed to respond in a more than ideal manner.
That’s a good thing. Jammed in between the heliocentric aspects and right as the solstice rolls around, Ceres in Aries squares Mars in Capricorn. Mars likely asks Saturn if he’s done with the oil can he’s been using to lubricate Neptune’s visions into reality. Mars reports he certainly could use a few squirts. This time could be personally and politically volatile. The urge to advocate, assert and declare for any cause, concern or condition runs well into the redline on all gauges. Demanding compliance and forcing hands may seem to be the best strategy - not so. Here are a couple of key tidbits: When presenting hard core factual data, ensure your aura is inert. Having a charge on the accurate information falls into the same category as running after a horse. Good luck with that. Assert facts as facts, and while doing so, in your mind and spirit refresh the best intentions for outcomes requiring your voice. Ensure those outcomes have something to do with being good for all concerned. High moral ground works wonderfully unless one looks down upon those not occupying the same turf.
The centaur Asbolus, an auger, is also involved in this mix from his retrograde stance in Cancer. His urging promotes consideration, then reconsideration of the implications of opposing forces, sand traps encountered, mandatory detours and anything that appear to resist your best intentions right here and now. Be psychic in this moment. Should you immediately retreat and regroup? Should you press forward, no matter what? Mars, in probably his most driven sign, favors barreling ahead. Is butting a briar patch the idea that untangles life in this moment? It’s a jump ball call. Remind yourself that Sedna and Uranus are close enough together to support any needed adjustment. So, if the immediate results, when settled, do not further the cause, align and adjust, flag the need for change and select better things and clearer focus in the immediate to rectify all things that slipped sideways.
Soon, Mars and Ceres each tangle with Eris and Chiron in Aries. Mars in Capricorn squares the pairing 12 - 16 January. Ceres in Aries strides by the two between 14 February and 2 March. Both these times reflect the need for the greatest inclusion of all things. Shun no opportunity. Disregard no person. This does not suggest that every person appearing on your path during these couple of weeks needs to become a part of your life. This is to say that consider that person. Hear and acknowledge what that person reports. Take in the information, critique, guidance or review. Going forward, apply what fits. Leave the rest, but with what you do apply, realize that those applications fully intend to include all of what you affirm in life. And this is ultimately healing.
With Neptune about to enter Aries, prioritize yourself. Creatively, set yourself first. Spiritually, consider your soul as the primary force in your life and as focus on your spirit as if there is no tomorrow. Neptune reports, “When it’s tomorrow, it’s actually today. “
